The first gay bar you walked into probably stuck with you longer than your first kiss. Canada has lost a lot of them over the past fifteen years, and opened a few new ones too, from Hamilton to Halifax. In this section we look at gay nightlife across the country as it really is in 2026: the villages in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, the cities that live on one room, and the drag nights and pop-ups filling the gaps.
